The architecturally beautiful center of Bonn is located directly on the Rhine and just north of the southern part of the city. The transport connections could not be better. Most of the public transport runs directly through the center from the main train station and the adjacent bus station. The motorway to the north can be reached in a few minutes.

The center also has a lot to offer culturally. In addition to a cinema, the opera and the well-known Bonn Minster are among the highlights of the city center. With its public places, such as the church square, Friedensplatz, Münsterplatz and market square, they also offer plenty of opportunities to enjoy city life during the day. But especially in the evening hours, the city center presents itself from its most beautiful side with all the cozy restaurants, the nice cafes, clubs and bars in a traffic-calmed location.

The center is also entirely dedicated to Ludwig van Beethoven. In addition to the Beethoven statue on Münsterplatz and the Beethovenhalle, which marks the northern end of the center, there is also Beethovengasse, where the famous composer's birthplace is located. At the southern border of the district, next to the main university building, there is the “Alter Zoll” beer garden directly on the banks of the Rhine, which is a popular destination, especially for students.
